Today the student body of Holy Rosary marked the one-year anniversary of Covid 19 changing the lives of students and staff. We began our day with a prayer service where we prayed for all who have died as a result of Covid. We prayed for all who are suffering from Covid now, and we prayed for all who want a vaccine that they receive it soon. After lunch today and a countdown to one, each student jumped on a piece of bubble wrap to stomp Covid away. The noises were loud and it was a great release!!
Holy Rosary families collected items during Catholic Schools Week to donate to CHOC, Coordinated Homeless Outreach Center in their community. Each homeroom started with a laundry basket and soon over thirty baskets overflowed with items that will be used as starter kits for newly housed residents. Surrounding the baskets are some of our Kindergarten students.
The Holy Rosary Family Tree was created for Catholic Schools Week (CSW). Each school family decorated a leaf showcasing the virtues that make their family special. Our art teacher, Mrs. Erica Hawn painted a tree on the wall and the classes hung their leaves. This was originally for CSW only, but we all loved the idea so much we laminated the leaves, and now the tree will live on forever. As new families join us we will welcome them to add a leaf to the tree.

Mrs. Karen Weiss, of Epiphany of Our Lord Parish, missed the sign that once welcomed guests to the playground that was dedicated to beloved Kindergarten teacher, Mrs. Joanne Cromie of Epiphany of Our Lord School. After Mrs. Weiss visited the campus recently, she gave us the green light to fashion a new sign!
As part of our Catholic Schools Week festivities, the Holy Rosary student body had a special ceremony to thank Mr. Cahill for his support of their school.
