Prayer Partners
This is an all-year activity in which our lower elementary grades are paired with students in the upper level grades. Activities include Liturgy attendance, partnering with grade partners, prayer services, holiday activities, reading/science/religion activities, Catholic Schools Week activities, creating cards for our partners, and more! This has been a favorite activity for years at HR.

Senior Games

Drama Club
Students come together for a few weeks to learn how to perform, while they create props and learn about the art of live performances. We are surprised at the talent that comes out when playacting! -
Student Council
Students in 4th through 8th grade hold elections each year, with candidates presenting their nomination speech to our student body. The student body casts their votes for the officers and class representatives. Students meet to discuss activities and fundraisers to benefit charitable causes, help with our talent show, and learn how to operate their meetings under the direction of a faculty moderator, as well as present their ideas. -
PECO Energizing Education Program (PEEP)The PEEP program includes teacher workshops, curriculum, kits, and several other activities for schools to participate in throughout the year. They sponsor Energy Fairs and Educational Energy Audits for participating schools. In addition, schools are invited to participate in the PECO Innovation Challenge. This challenge engages students in exploring energy and seeking solutions to the energy challenges of today and tomorrow. The PECO Innovation Challenge participants showcase their solutions at the PECO Innovation Challenge Showcase at the Franklin Institute. They also participate in a STEM Career Symposium. HR has participated since 2017.

PECO Energy AuditSome of our students tour our boiler and mechanical room to learn how the school receives power , heat, and water. Students are taught how to use different tools to measure water temperature, light levels throughout the building, voltage in sockets, etc. The students discuss the use of energy in the school and how to use it more efficiently.

Bowling
Holy Rosary students in 3rd grade through 8th grade may participate in an after-school bowling club at Facenda Whitaker Lanes in East Norriton. The students are transported to the bowling alley by bus where they enjoy two hours of bowling once a week. Two ten-week sessions are offered during the school year. -
Lego, K’Nex & Puzzle ClubsStudents combine their social and fine motor skills in this after school club activity for an hour of free play or guided building. Imaginations run wild as students build homes, cities, a variety of vehicles and so much more!

STREAM ProgramThis is an extension of our middle school science classes. Students solve problems, use inquiry skills, think critically, and collaborate to solve problems and create various challenges. Learning from Math and Science classes are applied in this program, focusing on Science, Technology, Religion/Reading, Engineering, Art, and Mathematics. A strong focus on the Engineering Design Process and Technology guides the students to solve their challenges. Students must collaborate and work together on the projects assigned.
